What is BeautyDNA?

BeautyDNA is the world’s smartest beauty recommendation engine. This solution was created by a team of cosmetic chemists, dermatologists, aestheticians, makeup artists, hairstylists and computer scientists and is the first unbiased tool to help you discover ideal products for your beauty concerns and preferences.

How does it work?

Subscribers complete a detailed profile listing their beauty concerns and preferences. From there, our patented technology searches through the thousands of products in our inventory and selects an ideal match. We then ship that product directly to you with a detailed Beauty Report, which explains why the product was selected specifically for you.

How is BeautyDNA different from other customized beauty programs?

The patented technology of BeautyDNA is designed by some of the greatest computer scientists and algorithm experts in the world. The technology works by analyzing more than 200 of your unique Beauty Profile points and matching those points to attributes such as ingredients, formulations, scents and textures, to the thousands of beauty products on the market.

How do I build my Beauty Profile?

Building your Beauty Profile will take about 10 minutes. To begin, click on “Let’s Get Started” in the navigation at the top of this page and complete the profile by telling us the product types that you want to try, the concerns you want to address and your overall beauty likes and dislikes. You can update your profile at any time by clicking on the Beauty Profile option that appears under your name after you sign in.

How much does BeautyDNA cost?

BeautyDNA is a $25 per month beauty product matching service. Applicable sales tax will also be applied if you reside in Connecticut, Florida or New York.

How do I change my account information?

You can change your billing, shipping, credit card information and password. These options will be displayed under your name after you sign in. If you wish to change the email address associated with your account, please contact us at CustomerCare@BeautyDNA.com.

Who can I contact if I need help?

Will I ever hear from BeautyDNA?

Our beauty experts may need to contact you. There are several reasons that we might do this, all of which are designed to help improve your experience including profile update requests, feedback surveys and Facebook and other social media engagements, as well as for any contest or promotion sponsored by BeautyDNA.

The Products

What types of beauty products will I receive?

BeautyDNA delivers full-size beauty products in the categories of skin, hair and body. When selections are made, BeautyDNA analyzes your Beauty Profile against thousands of products within each of these categories to find the best product for you.

Will I ever get the same product twice?

BeautyDNA is designed so that you never get the same product twice. You may receive the same product category (skin, hair, etc.) in consecutive months if your product matches to one of your Top Five concerns. However, the system is built so that you do not receive a product type (shampoo, anti-aging cream, etc.) more than once over the course of a year.  

What brands can I expect?

We work with hundreds of the top beauty brands including Moroccanoil, Natura Bissé, Dr. Brandt, AHAVA, COOLA, SkinCeuticals, Avene, Skyn Iceland, Drunk Elephant, Briogeo, Alchimie Forever, G.M. Collin, PCA Skin, Philip B, June Jacobs and Glytone. Part of the fun is that we will also introduce you to new brands to help diversify your beauty routine!

How does my Beauty Profile impact what product I receive?

The BeautyDNA recommendation engine analyzes each aspect of your profile when determining which products are right for you. Because of this, it is important that your profile is complete and up-to-date with your beauty concerns and preferences. We expect that your concerns and preferences will change over time and have designed BeautyDNA to adjust its recommendations as your profile changes.

What is Top Five?

Top Five is the last step of your Beauty Profile. It allows you to select your top concerns and will prioritize products that address those concerns for you. It is telling BeautyDNA exactly which kinds of products you wish to receive. You may skip this section if you wish, but it does help find the best product match possible for you.

What is the Beauty Report?

In each shipment you will receive the Meet Your Match booklet that we refer to as your Beauty Report. The Beauty Report explains why a product was selected based upon your Beauty Profile and provides detailed information on how to use it, where to purchase it, retail pricing and more.

Can I see my product match before it arrives?

We have found that subscribers enjoy the anticipation and suspense prior to receiving their monthly match. Your product will appear in your Beauty Cabinet about seven business days after shipping, giving it plenty of time to arrive before it is revealed.

What is the return policy?

We want you to be 100% satisfied with the product selected for you. The key element for a successful product match is based on your Beauty Profile. We encourage you to revisit your profile and update it as your preferences change. Because of the unique sanitary nature of beauty products, we are not able to accept returns resulting from a preference like or dislike. If you experience an issue resulting in damaged goods as a result of shipping or a defective product, please contact our Customer Care team immediately so that we can send out a replacement to you. Please note that if the damaged product is not in stock, we will send a new product match for you.

Membership/Billing

Is this a subscription program?

Yes. BeautyDNA is a monthly membership service that renews automatically each month. We are confident that you will love our beauty product recommendation engine, so we allow you to cancel at any time. Charges will not be applied for the month of cancellation as long as this action occurs five days prior to your monthly ship date.

When will my credit card be charged?

Each month, on the day your match is processed you will be charged the $25 monthly membership fee. If you live in Connecticut, Florida or New York, you will be charged any applicable sales tax. This charge will be applied to the credit card we have on file.

How do I cancel my account?

Cancelling your account is simple, but requires you to contact our Customer Care team at CustomerCare@BeautyDNA.com. Once your cancellation request is processed, we will send you a confirmation email.

Shipping

Do I have to pay for shipping?

There is no additional charge for shipping, as it is always on us!

When should I expect to receive my beauty products?

Each month on/or around the same day, your product match will be selected and packed for shipping. Once it ships, your match should arrive within 5-7 business days.

How can I track my shipments?

At the start of each membership month, you will receive an email from us letting you know that your next product was selected and that it is on the way. Included in this email will be a link so that you can track the status of your delivery.

How can I track my shipments?

Once your match is packed and shipped, you will receive an email with a link to the tracking information so you can track the status of your match.

Where do you ship?

BeautyDNA is designed to service individuals in the United States. At this time, we are not supporting orders for shipment outside of the country.
